Welcome. By booking service with LoadStar Dumpsters, online, by phone, or by text, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all residential and commercial rentals.
Section 1. Pricing and Service Model
1.1 Standard Pricing
LoadStar Dumpsters charges one flat rate for all dumpster sizes:
- Base rental rate: $329 per haul
- Included weight: 1 ton (2,000 lbs) per haul, as measured by certified landfill scale
- Included rental period: 3 calendar days from confirmed delivery date
- Additional days: $19.99 per calendar day after day 3
- Weight overage: $75.00 per ton (or fraction thereof) above the included 1 ton
- No delivery fee (Zone 1 and 2). No environmental fee. No hidden fees.
1.2 Heavy Weight Dumpster (7 Yard Low Boy: Concrete and Dirt)
The 7 Yard Low Boy is a specialty heavy-weight container built with heavier-gauge steel specifically designed to safely carry dense materials. LoadStar Dumpsters’ larger containers (10, 15, 20, and 30 yard) are not structurally rated for heavy materials and may not be used for concrete, dirt, rock, asphalt, gravel, roofing tile, or similar dense inert materials under any circumstances. The following conditions apply to the 7 Yard Low Boy:
- Flat rate: $329 per haul
- No included tonnage. Billed at $75.00 per ton from the first pound, as measured by certified landfill scale
- Included rental period: 24 hours from confirmed delivery time
- Additional days: $25.00 per calendar day after the first 24 hours
Prior written or verbal approval is required before loading any of the following materials into any dumpster:
- Concrete, dirt, rock, asphalt, gravel, roofing tile, or other dense inert materials
Heavy materials may only be loaded into the 7 Yard Low Boy. Loading heavy materials into any larger container may result in refusal of haul, an offload requirement at customer expense, and charges for any damage to the container or equipment.
1.3 Service Start, Rental Period, and Additional Days
The 3-day rental period begins on the confirmed delivery date selected at booking. The day of delivery counts as Day 1, regardless of the time of day the container arrives. Day 2 and Day 3 are the two consecutive calendar days that follow. To avoid additional day charges, the customer must request pickup (by call, text, or our online form) by 11:59 PM on Day 3.
Actual pickup will be scheduled within 24-48 business hours of the customer’s request, subject to driver and equipment availability. The customer is not charged additional day fees for the time between the pickup request and the actual haul, provided the request was made within the rental period.
Additional day charges:
- Each calendar day past Day 3 without a pickup request: $19.99 per day
- Charges accrue automatically and may be billed to the card on file without further notice
- The 7 Yard Low Boy operates on a separate 24-hour rental window. See Section 1.2.
- Weekend and holiday deliveries: The 3-day rental clock applies the same way regardless of which day of the week the container is delivered. We do not offer extended weekend rental periods unless purchased separately.
Section 2. Black Series Program
2.1 Program Overview
Black Series is an optional branded container program available to contractor and commercial customers who use LoadStar Dumpsters on a recurring basis. Black Series turns every dumpster drop into a passive marketing impression. Your logo, phone number, and QR code on a clean black container sitting on every active jobsite you run.
Black Series is a branding add-on only. All customers, regardless of Black Series enrollment, receive the same standard of service. Priority scheduling is extended to contractors with an established recurring relationship with LoadStar Dumpsters at our discretion.
2.2 Setup Fee
A one-time setup fee applies to establish a Black Series account and produce the branded vinyl decals for the assigned container(s). The setup fee reflects the direct cost of materials and labor and is not marked up:
- Setup fee: $365.00 per container (reflects approximately $340 in vinyl materials and $25 in application labor)
- The setup fee is due at time of enrollment before branding is applied
- The setup fee is non-refundable once the vinyl decal has been produced or applied
- If the cost of materials changes, LoadStar Dumpsters will notify the customer and obtain approval before proceeding
2.3 Monthly Program Fee
Following the one-time setup, Black Series customers are billed a flat monthly fee to maintain their branded container(s) in active rotation:
- Monthly fee: $99.00 per branded container per month
- The monthly fee is billed on the same calendar date each month from the date of first enrollment
- The monthly fee applies regardless of the number of hauls performed in a given month
- The monthly fee is in addition to standard haul rates and any applicable overage charges
Cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. No prorated refunds for partial months.
2.4 Decal Removal Fee
Upon cancellation of the Black Series program or termination of the customer relationship, the branded decal will be removed from the container:
- Decal removal fee: $75.00 per container
- The removal fee will be charged to the card on file at time of cancellation
- LoadStar Dumpsters reserves the right to remove decals and charge the removal fee if a Black Series account becomes delinquent
2.5 Branded Container Terms
When a customer enrolls in Black Series, LoadStar Dumpsters will apply branding to the assigned container(s) per the agreed specifications. The following terms apply:
- Customer is responsible for providing accurate logo, phone number, QR code, and any other branding assets in a print-ready digital format at 300dpi or vector
- LoadStar Dumpsters is not responsible for errors, color variations, or quality issues in customer-provided artwork
- LoadStar Dumpsters will make reasonable efforts to match brand colors but cannot guarantee exact color reproduction on vinyl
- Branded containers remain the property of LoadStar Dumpsters at all times
- Customer may not alter, paint, affix additional materials to, or deface the branded container in any way
- Damage to a branded container beyond normal wear and tear may be billed at the cost of repair or replacement of the decal or container
- LoadStar Dumpsters reserves the right to retire a branded container from service due to age or condition and will notify the customer. A new setup fee may apply if a replacement container requires new decals.
- LoadStar Dumpsters reserves the right to discontinue or modify the Black Series program with 30 days written notice
Section 3. Service Area and Delivery
3.1 Delivery Zones and Fuel Surcharge
LoadStar Dumpsters serves a 45-mile radius from our St. Louis Park, MN facility across six geographic zones. Zones 1 and 2 are free of charge. Zones 3 through 6 carry a fuel surcharge based on distance from our yard. The applicable fuel surcharge will be disclosed prior to booking confirmation.
- Zone 1, 0 to 7.5 miles: No charge
- Zone 2, 7.5 to 15 miles: No charge
- Zone 3, 15 to 22.5 miles: $15.00 fuel surcharge
- Zone 4, 22.5 to 30 miles: $30.00 fuel surcharge
- Zone 5, 30 to 37.5 miles: $60.00 fuel surcharge
- Zone 6, 37.5 to 45 miles: $125.00 fuel surcharge
Zone classification is determined solely by LoadStar Dumpsters based on the delivery address provided at booking and our internal service mapping. Fuel surcharges apply per delivery and per pickup movement. If your address falls outside our standard service area, please contact us directly to discuss availability and pricing.
3.2 Delivery and Pickup Windows
LoadStar Dumpsters will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the requested time window. Standard delivery is available Sunday through Friday. LoadStar Dumpsters does not provide Saturday service under any circumstances. Service is not available on holidays.
Expedited and after-hours delivery options are available for an additional fee at time of booking, subject to driver and equipment availability:
- Two-Hour Delivery Window: $50.00 (guaranteed 2-hour window between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM)
- Emergency Delivery: $100.00 (same-day or expedited delivery within 3 hours, refunded if LoadStar misses the agreed window)
- After-Hours Service: $150.00 (service outside standard delivery window where available)
3.3 Driver Wait Time
LoadStar provides a 15-minute grace period at no charge for the driver to receive instructions, gain site access, or coordinate placement. Wait time beyond 15 minutes is billed at $90.00 per hour, prorated in 15-minute increments. Excessive wait time may result in the driver leaving the site, in which case dry run fees under Section 5.3 apply.
Section 4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
4.1 Cancellation Policy
- Free cancellation: permitted up to 24 hours before scheduled delivery
- Cancellation within 24 hours of delivery: $75.00 late cancellation fee
- Same-day cancellation after driver dispatch: $100.00 cancellation fee
- If the container has already been delivered: a pickup fee of $125 to $175 will apply depending on service zone (fuel surcharge added separately by zone)
Failure to provide a safe, clear, and accessible placement location at the time of delivery will be treated as a same-day cancellation after dispatch.
4.2 Rescheduling
Rescheduling within the same service week may be permitted subject to availability. Same-day reschedule of a confirmed delivery after the route has been set is subject to a $50.00 same-day reschedule fee. Reschedules made more than 24 hours in advance are free of charge.
Section 5. Load and Weight Policies
5.1 Load Level Policy
Contents must not be loaded above the top rail of the dumpster (the “water level” fill line). If a dumpster is loaded above the top rail:
- A minimum overload fee of $100.00 will apply
- Pickup may be refused until the load is brought to legal transport level
- A dry run fee may apply if pickup is attempted and cannot be completed
- Customer is responsible for offloading excess material at their own expense
- LoadStar Dumpsters reserves the right to leave material exceeding legal transport limits on site.
5.2 Weight Responsibility
Customer is solely responsible for the total weight placed into the dumpster. Excessive weight that exceeds safe hauling limits may result in refusal of service, an offload requirement, or additional labor charges. Weight is determined by certified landfill scale and is final.
5.3 Dry Run Fees
A dry run occurs when LoadStar dispatches a truck for scheduled delivery or pickup and the job cannot be completed for reasons attributable to the customer. The following fees apply per occurrence:
- $150.00: blocked or inaccessible dumpster (vehicles, gates, locked areas, snow, debris, or any obstruction preventing the driver from accessing the container at the time of scheduled service)
- $150.00: overweight load preventing legal transport (customer must reduce the load before pickup can be rescheduled; standard $75 per ton overage charges still apply once the load is hauled)
- $100.00: other customer-caused incomplete service (customer not on-site when required, refused delivery, incorrect placement instructions, or other condition preventing completion not covered above)
Dry run fees are charged to the payment method on file and are due immediately. A second service attempt requires the dry run fee to be paid in full before redispatch. Repeat dry runs on the same order may result in account suspension or termination at LoadStar’s discretion.
Section 6. Placement, Surface, and Access
6.1 Placement Instructions
Customer is responsible for providing clear and accurate placement instructions at time of booking. LoadStar Dumpsters will place the container in the location specified. If no placement instruction is provided, the driver will use their best judgment.
6.2 Surface Risk
LoadStar Dumpsters is not liable for surface damage, cracking, shifting, sinking, or subsurface failure resulting from placement in the location requested by the customer. Customer assumes full risk for:
- Driveways, pavement, turf, concrete, asphalt, and pavers
- Underground utilities, irrigation systems, and drainage infrastructure
- Curbing, landscaping, and overhead obstructions along access routes
Customer warrants that the placement location and all access routes are sufficient to support the weight of the dumpster, its contents, and LoadStar Dumpsters vehicles.
6.3 Permit Responsibility
Customer is solely responsible for obtaining any required city, county, municipal, HOA, or neighborhood permits prior to delivery. LoadStar Dumpsters is not responsible for fines, tickets, violations, or citations related to permit requirements. Failure to obtain proper permits does not waive any applicable cancellation fees, relocation fees, or dry run charges.
Optional Permit Acquisition Service: If you request that LoadStar obtain a permit on your behalf, the following fees apply:
- Permit Acquisition Service: $75.00 (administrative service fee for processing the permit application)
- Permit Fee: actual permit cost passed through at cost from the issuing authority
LoadStar makes no guarantee that a requested permit will be approved by the issuing authority. Service fees are non-refundable if the permit is denied.
Section 7. Prohibited and Restricted Materials
7.1 Strictly Prohibited
The following materials are strictly prohibited from all LoadStar Dumpsters containers under any circumstances:
- Liquids of any kind, including water, fuel, oil, and paint in liquid form
- Chemicals, solvents, and cleaning agents
- Asbestos and asbestos-containing materials
- Biohazardous, medical, or infectious waste
- Explosives or flammable materials
- Propane tanks, unless fully emptied with nozzle removed (verify with us before placing)
Minimum charge for prohibited materials: $150.00 or full disposal cost, whichever is greater. Ownership and liability for prohibited materials remain with the booking party.
7.2 Specialty Fee Items
The following items are accepted in standard dumpsters but trigger a per-item specialty fee at pickup. Fees are tiered by size and disposal cost. Customers should declare specialty items at time of booking to avoid surprises.

Specialty fees are determined at time of pickup based on the items present in the load. Specialty fees are in addition to base rental, tonnage overage, and any other applicable charges.
7.3 Excessive Cleaning Fee
If LoadStar staff must sort, separate, or remove prohibited or contaminating materials from your load before disposal, an excessive cleaning fee of $150.00 applies. This fee is in addition to any prohibited materials charge under Section 7.1 or specialty item fees under Section 7.2.
Section 8. Optional Add-Ons
LoadStar Dumpsters offers the following optional add-ons at the time of booking. Add-ons are available across all standard 10, 15, 20, and 30 yard containers as well as the 7-yard Low Boy. Add-ons must be purchased at the time of booking and cannot be added after delivery.
8.1 Driveway Protection (RolliSkates)
RolliSkates are protective surface pads placed under the dumpster’s roller wheels to reduce the risk of driveway and sealed concrete damage caused by container weight and rolling movement during placement and pickup.
- Price: $29.00 per rental
- What it covers: Reduces the risk of cracking, scuffing, sealant lifting, and surface marking on driveways, sealed concrete, asphalt, and pavers
- Eligibility: Available on all dumpster sizes
- Contractor benefit: Customers enrolled in the LoadStar Dumpsters contractor program receive RolliSkates at no charge on every haul as part of their account benefits
- Limitations: RolliSkates reduce the risk of surface damage but do not guarantee its prevention. If declined, customer accepts full risk of surface damage as described in Section 6.2.
8.2 Damage and Fire Waiver
The Damage and Fire Waiver protects the customer against container repair and replacement charges for accidental damage occurring during the rental period. Container damage bills typically start at $800 and can climb significantly higher depending on the nature of the damage.
- Price: $49.00 per rental
- What it covers: Accidental container damage from common loading hazards including hot ash, lithium batteries, and miscellaneous puncture damage that occurs during normal use
- Eligibility: Available on all dumpster sizes
- Limitations: The waiver does not cover damage caused by prohibited materials (see Section 7), tampering (see Section 9.3), compacting (see Section 9.2), or willful misuse. It also does not waive overweight, overload, or prohibited material charges.
8.3 Cancellation and Reschedule Protection
Cancellation and Reschedule Protection allows the customer one same-day delivery date change or cancellation without incurring the standard same-day fee. Standard same-day changes carry a $75.00 fee under Section 4.
- Price: $19.00 per rental
- What it covers: One same-day change covered, including delays caused by weather, permit issues, or contractor schedule shifts. Valid up to 2 hours before delivery.
- Eligibility: Available on all dumpster sizes
- Limitations: Covers one change only. Subsequent changes within the same rental are subject to standard cancellation and rescheduling fees as described in Section 4.
Section 9. Container Use and Restrictions
9.1 Moving the Dumpster
Customers and third parties may not move, reposition, or relocate the dumpster under any circumstances. Contact LoadStar Dumpsters to request a repositioning. On-site container relocation by LoadStar is billed at $75.00 per move. Relocation requests must be scheduled in advance and are subject to driver and equipment availability. LoadStar reserves the right to decline relocation requests that pose safety, access, or property damage risks.
9.2 Compacting Prohibited
No crushing, compacting, or mechanical alteration of dumpster contents is permitted. Damage resulting from compacting may be billed up to the full cost of equipment repair or replacement.
9.3 Tampering Prohibited
Tampering with locks, doors, hinges, hydraulic components, or any structural element of the container is strictly prohibited. Customer is liable for any damage resulting from tampering.
9.4 Damage and Liability
Customer assumes full responsibility for:
- Damage to the dumpster while it is in their possession
- Theft or loss of the container or its contents
- Damage to driveways, surfaces, or surrounding property caused by placement or loading
LoadStar Dumpsters is not responsible for surface damage, property damage resulting from placement in a customer-selected location, or injury occurring while the dumpster is on site.
Container Damage Fee: Customer-caused damage to the container, including fire damage, burning of materials inside the container, paint, graffiti, structural impact, or other incidents, is billed at actual repair cost with a $250.00 minimum charge per occurrence. LoadStar will provide documentation of damage and repair cost upon request.
9.5 Lost, Stolen, or Unrecoverable Container
If the container is stolen, abandoned, buried, or otherwise rendered unrecoverable while in your possession, you agree to pay the full replacement value of $6,500.00 per container. You agree to report any theft or loss to LoadStar within 24 hours of discovery and to cooperate with LoadStar in filing a police report.
Section 10. Payment Terms
All rental fees are due at time of booking. A valid payment method is required to confirm service.
- Overage charges (additional weight and additional days) are billed after pickup once the certified landfill scale weight is confirmed
- The card on file will be charged for overage amounts without additional authorization
- Commercial accounts may be issued invoice terms by written agreement
- Unpaid balances may be charged to the card on file without further notice
All charges are denominated in US dollars. Pricing is subject to change for future bookings. The rate in effect at time of booking confirmation is the rate that applies to that rental.
10.1 Late Payment and Finance Charges
All invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing. Balances unpaid after 30 days are subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% annual percentage rate) on the past due amount. Accounts more than 60 days past due may be referred to collections, and you agree to pay all reasonable collection costs, including attorney fees and court costs, incurred by LoadStar in collecting the balance owed.
10.2 Returned Payment (NSF) Fee
Any check or ACH payment returned for insufficient funds, closed account, or any other reason is subject to a $30.00 returned payment fee, in addition to the original amount owed. This fee is the maximum permitted under Minnesota Statute 332.50.
10.3 Credit Card Chargeback Fee
If you initiate a credit card chargeback or payment dispute against a valid charge, you authorize LoadStar Dumpsters to charge a $35.00 chargeback fee plus the original disputed amount and any associated bank or processor fees. LoadStar Dumpsters reserves the right to suspend service and refer disputed amounts to collections in the event of an unjustified chargeback.
Section 11. Legal Terms
11.1 Service Delays
LoadStar Dumpsters is not liable for delays caused by weather, road conditions, traffic incidents, equipment failure, landfill closures, labor disputes, pandemics, governmental restrictions, or other events outside of our reasonable control.
11.2 Communication Authorization
By booking service, customer authorizes LoadStar Dumpsters to communicate via phone, text, and email for purposes related to the rental, including delivery confirmations, pickup coordination, invoices, and customer service responses. Any party associated with the booking is considered an authorized contact. For detailed SMS messaging terms, including opt-out procedures and frequency disclosures, see Section 12 below and our Privacy Policy at https://loadstardumpsters.com/privacy.
11.3 Indemnification
Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LoadStar Dumpsters, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, fines, penalties, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to:
- The contents placed in the dumpster
- The placement location selected by customer
- Access routes used for delivery or pickup
- Violations of local permit requirements
- Customer’s breach of these Terms and Conditions
This obligation includes reasonable attorney fees and legal costs.
11.4 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LoadStar Dumpsters’ total liability for any claim arising out of or related to a rental shall not exceed the total amount paid by customer for the specific rental order giving rise to the claim. LoadStar Dumpsters shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
11.5 Recovery of Costs
In any dispute arising out of these Terms and Conditions or the rental agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees, court costs, and collection expenses.
11.6 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Minnesota.
Section 12. SMS Text Messaging
12.1 Consent to Receive Text Messages
By providing your phone number to LoadStar Dumpsters, whether through our website booking form, during a phone call with our team or our AI phone agent “Megan,” or by text message, you consent to receive SMS text messages from LoadStar Dumpsters at 952-900-4717. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
12.2 Types of Messages
You may receive the following types of messages:
- Booking links sent in response to your inquiry
- Order confirmations and delivery notifications
- Pickup coordination and scheduling updates
- Invoices, receipts, and payment-related messages
- Responses to customer service inquiries
All messages are transactional or customer-service related. LoadStar Dumpsters does not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.
12.3 Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your rental activity. Typically, customers receive between 1 and 5 messages per rental. Contractor and recurring customers may receive more.
12.4 Cost
Message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. LoadStar Dumpsters does not charge for SMS messages.
12.5 Opt-Out
You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message, and you will not receive further SMS messages from us. If you want to rejoin, contact us by phone or opt in again during a call.
12.6 Help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us directly at 763-300-9298.
12.7 Supported Carriers
This SMS program is compatible with major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, Cellular One, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
12.8 Privacy of Mobile Information
No mobile information (including phone numbers, opt-in data, and consent records) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Section 13. Final Acknowledgment
By booking service with LoadStar Dumpsters, customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions outlined in this document.
